| Qualification | Sub Inspector (Staff Nurse): 12th pass + Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery (3/3.5 years duration as per year of passing) + Registered with Central/State Nursing Council. Sub Inspector (Pioneer): Bachelor’s degree (B.Tech/B.E.) in Civil Engineering from a recognised University/Institute. Sub Inspector ( Communication): Bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Communication / Computer Science / Information Technology Engineering or Science with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics from a recognised University/Institute. Additional Requirements: PET: 1.6 km in 6½ min (Male) / 800 m in 4 min (Female) |

SSB SI Recruitment Age Limits and Relaxation
Not exceeding 30 years as on last date of application (20/04/2026). Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC, ST, OBC, Ex-servicemen and other reserved categories as per Government rules.

- Step 1: Go to the official SSB recruitment website – recruitment.ssb.gov.in or go to ssb.gov.in and open the recruitment/advertisement section.
- Step 2: Find and click on the link for “SSB Sub Inspector (SI) Recruitment 2026” and read the notification PDF carefully to check eligibility, age limit and other conditions.
- Step 3: Click on the “Apply Online” / “New Registration” button and complete the registration using a valid mobile number and email ID.
- Step 4: Login with registration details and fill the form personal details, educational qualification details carefully.
- Step 5: Enter post wise educational qualification, diploma, experience details for Staff Nurse / Pioneer / Communication as applicable.
- Step 6: Upload Photo, Signature & Certificates
- Step 7: Pay Application Fee (if applicable)
- Step 8: Preview all the details filled in the form carefully,
- Step 9: Submit the Application Form
