SSB Constable Recruitment Eligibility Criteria

| Qualification | Constable (Veterinary): 10th pass with Science as main subject from a recognised board Experience: One year experience in treatment of different species of animals in a recognised veterinary hospital. Constable (Driver) – Male: 10th pass from a recognised board and must possess a valid Heavy Vehicle Driving Licence. Constables (Gardener, Water Carrier, Cobbler, Tailor, Washerman, Barber, Waiter): Matriculation or equivalent plus either 2 years work experience in the respective trade, or 1 year certificate course from recognised ITI/Vocational institute. Experience: Minimum 1 year experience, or 2 years diploma from recognised ITI in the trade or similar trade; must qualify trade test; multi-skilled candidates will be given preference. Constable (Carpenter): Matriculation or equivalent and either 2 years work experience in the trade, or 1 year ITI/Vocational certificate with 1 year experience, or 2 years ITI diploma in the trade; must qualify trade test. Constable (Nursing Orderly): 10th pass, First Aid certificate from St. John’s Ambulance Organization or Red Cross Society of India. Experience: Minimum 1 year working experience as Nursing Orderly in a 50-bedded hospital/institution recognised by Central/State Government. |

SSB Constable Recruitment Age Limits and Relaxation
Minimum 18 Years and Maximum 27 Years as on last date of application (20/04/2026). Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC, ST, OBC, Ex-servicemen and other reserved categories as per Government rules.
